Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Phenomenal is the only way to describe my experience. I was given an appointment in a timely manner. I was very apprehensive about the procedure but the doctor and staff were very reassuring that they would make it as comfortable as possible. Caring, informative, and highly professional.

I was preferred to DDS Valassi from my regular dentist, due to a check on a bump on my tongue. My appointment was supposed to just check the fibroma bump. He explained what it was, and how to treat it. He also explained that in order to look at it we would have to cut it out, so we are going to reschedule another appointment for it. But I asked him if we could do it since I was there, he agreed. He explained the procedure, and it involve novocaine and a laser. After he numbed up my tongue, and shot my tongue with novocaine which hurt a tiny bit... It took about 30 seconds to cut out the fibroma and cauterize the wound. The whole procedure took less than 5 minutes. Just a reminder, you should bring a check or cash to pay for the procedure, because you get a discount. You can pay by credit card but it is a little more with no discount. They submitted to insurance and the insurance will reimburse you, so it wasn't a good deal for me. I do have a follow up 3 weeks from now. He said that because it was the tongue it would feel quickly, the next day he didn't look like he did anything and it was back to normal. Even after the procedure my tongue was still numb, but when the novacan

From the front desk staff, to the nurse to Dr. Vlassis, everyone was so friendly and understanding. Going to the dentist is never fun and quite nerve racking. My nurse and the dentist were patient when I needed a break. I would highly recommend this office.
